LGWF is organized as a Donor-Advised Fund affiliated with the King Baudouin Foundation U.S.

This affiliation helps us assure that 100% of your gift will go toward drilling a well in a village in Zambia. The King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS) enables U.S. donors to support non-profit initiatives in Europe and Africa. KBFUS donors are able to support the non-profit organization of their choice in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa in full compliance with U.S. and international laws governing charitable donations. They provide advice and tax benefits, and take care of the due diligence process to ensure that grant moneys only support charitable purposes and do not support violent activities.

The Life-Giving Water Fund began our efforts to drill wells in rural Zambia in 2003.  As a small group of individuals beginning this endeavor we recognized that we wanted to dedicate as much of our time as possible to planning and implementing well projects.  Our affiliation with KBFUS helps us minimize administrative activities and optimizes our time and energies to doing what is actually required to drill more wells.
